Dr. François Andrieu is leading the Advanced CMOS Laboratory at LETI. He received the M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees from the Grenoble INP, France in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He joined CEA-LETI in 2005, working on Fully-Depleted-Silicon-On-Insulator (FDSOI) complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor technology and devices. After leading the development at LETI of advanced FDSOI CMOS within European and industrial projects from 2007 to 2012 (with SOITEC, STMicroelectronics, Globalfoundries, IBM), he was assigned at STMicroelectronics (Crolles, France) as principal device engineer working on FDSOI in the process-integration and technology-to-design groups (2012-15). From 2015 to 2018, he serves as a Senior Scientist at LETI in charge of Technology-Design-Co-Optimization on advanced CMOS technologies (FDSOI, stacked nanowire, monolithic-3D).
In 2013, he joined the 'Circuit/Device Interaction' sub-committee of the International Electron Device Meeting (IEDM) and is currently serving as a Technical Program Committee member of the European Solid-State Device Research Conference (ESSDERC) ('CMOS' track chair from 2015-17) and VLSI-TSA conference. He supervised 2 Postdocs, 8 PhD students and is the author or co-author of more than 14 patents, 200 conference abstracts or refereed journal articles, 11 invited papers and 3 book chapters. He has a google h-index=33, h-factor=18 (WoS) with 4200 citations. He received the best paper award at ESSDERC 2005, the IEEE/SEE Brillouin award in 2018, the IEEE senior grade in 2018 and the ERC consolidator grant in 2019.
